One of Keiko's presents was a sprinkler. It has always been a favorite summer activity of our kids. Jack controlled the spray from the side and the girls just loved it.
Keiko's theme this year was High School Musical and Camp Rock. Because of the double theme, I bought her ice cream cake from the grocery and put the decorations on myself. It turned out pretty good. I may try this again for the next birthday.
Following our family tradition, we went to Red Robin and had lunch. They gave Keiko a hot fudge birthday sundae but they sang so fast that I only got a couple of pictures. She gave the cherry to Midori and shared her sundae with Jack and Midori.
Keiko had an early soccer game this morning. When she came home the kids and I surprised her at the door. She opened her gifts and they each had a goodie bag as well.
Wednesday was Keiko's actual birthday. Even though we weren't having cake until Saturday I still wanted to take them out to have something to remember the day. I called my friend Mai who is Dina and Cliff's mom and she agreed to meet us at Chuck E. Cheeses. They had a blast!
Midori was in gymnastics camp this week. I didn't get a very good video because the viewing area window is very reflective, but it still shows her doing her thang. This is her doing a "butt drop" on the trampoline.
Before we left the roller rink last night Dan wanted to take some video with my cell phone. Turn your volume waaaay down so that you don't hear Dan. His voice really carried at the rink.
