Science Fair Photos

I saw the science fair projects and Keiko's was the best one. The one that won grand prize was completely done by a parent. The report was type written and the board text boxes were completely computer generated. Jack told her that she should have won 1st and grand prize and that made her feel better.

This is the 3rd time Jack has entered the science fair and the 3rd time he has won in his grade and the grand prize for his school. Great job, Jack!

Science Fair Results

Keiko won 2nd place for 2nd grade and Jack won 1st place for 4th grade and Grand Prize for the school. We're going to the school tonight and I'll bring the camera.

Science Fair Today

We all got up early. The projects are ready. I'm hoping for a good result. We'll find out the results this afternoon. Wish us luck.

Jack in Sarnia, Ontario

Daniel didn't take any pictures, but one of the coaches caught this one.
I love those shiny cheeks. His earflap hat is getting a little small, but it's his favorite.

Keiko's Soccer Game

It was a tough game, but Keiko's indoor team won 3-0. She really did a great job keeping it away from the net. I think our goalie was getting a little bored. We were missing a few girls, so Keiko was out on the field most of the game. What a trooper.

Update on Canada Trip

Jack's team lost all three of the preliminary games. They did not make the finals so they are done, but they are staying in Canada until tomorrow. Jack had a great time and it was a wonderful experience for him. He really enjoyed the hockey regardless of the outcome. He just appreciates how skilled the Canadian teams are. Dan said that the other teams were amazing and that Jack played great. I'm so proud of him. The losses never brought his spirits down. He is such a good sport.

Jack's Trip to Sanria, Ontario

4:15am

Jack just left for the airport with Daniel. He left a note on the floor for me to find after I kissed him goodbye. It said,
"Dear Mom, I really miss you. I wish you could come.
Love, Jack
P.S. Keep up with our scores on-line."

Keiko's First Reconciliation

We went to church last night for Keiko's First Reconciliation. She didn't seem nervous at all. Her priest was Fr. Cliff who she knows, and I think that made it easier for her. Here she is in the church after her confession.

No Sew Hats from Noggin.com

Midori and I made no-sew hats from Noggin.com. They were a really fun craft. She loves hers so much that it has hardly left her little head since yesterday!

Keiko Lost a Tooth

Keiko lost her first tooth. Now she has a new smile. She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come, and the tooth fairy forgot... Maybe it was a busy night for fairies... Maybe she got stuck in a fairy staff meeting... Maybe fairy air traffic was bad... Anyway, the the tooth fairy came the second night.
Here she is with her new and improved smile.
