White Blankie

Midori has had this white blanket since she was a little baby. It is so threadbare that we almost retired it from its many years of service. Yesterday she decided to dress it in a doll sweater and sock hat. This morning she added the socks for his "feet". Then she put him down for a nap. She is showing off her creativity and making White Blankie last just a little longer.

Midori has sort of graduated from her Security Blancket and made it animated. Yes, she is very creative and that's the goodness she inherited from you.
By the way, do you still have your spanish dancer creation on a squash (I don't know how to call the vegi)?? I hope so and please save it as long as you can. I think that is the most beautiful thing I have seen besides your TX home wall painting.
Love and God bless,
Mom

Yes, I still have it. It is decorating a shelf in my living room. It is a gourd that I inked and then clear coated to look like 3 Spanish dancers. If you shake it you can hear the seeds on the inside make a rattling sound. They actually sold a few natural gourds at the pumpkin place that we went to for Halloween. We bought a couple, but they didn't dry the same way. They just rotted. I had hoped that they would dry so that the girls could make their own gourd dolls.

I am glad that you still have the gourd. It can be used almost like an musical instrument for spanish dancing (but don't do that lest break). I love the color red. I hope girls could make the same someday with the MN gourds.

Mom
