Very interesting pictures of Butterfield. It is Verland's ancestors lives. They look very touching and beautiful and the children must have had a very good time.
It is fun to see the ropes Keiko and Midori are holding because a few month ago I made several jump ropes with cloths lines and now I do jumprope for my excercise. Also I gave them to Thea and Ken and the other day Kim came so gave one to her. I heard Emi loves it and jumproping every day. What do Keiko and Midori do with the ropes?
Love,
Mom
They jump rope with them sometimes, but Midori already had a rope that she uses for jumping, and it is weighted with water so it goes around easier. Keiko uses a skipper that she loops around one ankle and hops over it with the other foot. It is really cute. Midori will really use anything rope-like as a jumprope.
What does "it is weighted with water" mean? For the second thought, I think I know it: "To make it a little heavier.
"She loops around one ankle and hops over.." That sounds wonderful. I wish I could spread this excercise to all of my children and grandchildren and all the heavy people in the USA. Can you do something to promote it? Maybe you can write to the First Lady, Mrs. Obama.
Thank you, Kelly for your valuable reply. Mom
